About Our Company
Vicinity Software was built based on a commitment to designing a solution specifically written for formula-based manufacturing while staying up to date with the latest trends in technology to deliver a state-of-the-art solution that can grow with any chemical manufacturing company.
Founders Seth Abady and Randy Smith spent the earlier parts of their careers coding, selling, and implementing the leading chemical manufacturing software on the market from 1985-2000. Initially designed for paint and chemical manufacturers, the original BatchMaster software quickly gained traction across industries with similar needs throughout the process manufacturing community. After years of supporting a thriving client base with this product, it was sold a multitude of times and development ceased to continue. Randy, Seth, and a fellow insider Paul Salvani connected to explore how they could continue to serve the needs of their existing client base and chemical manufacturers across industries and founded Vicinity in 2001.
